Overlooking a waterfall on the South Branch of the Raritan River, the Hunterdon Art Museum offers an elegant, versatile and unique setting for a wide variety of social and corporate events:
The Museum’s Toshiko Takaezu Terrace boasts one of the most picturesque views in New Jersey. The 19th century stone mill, which is home to the Hunterdon Art Museum, provides a lovely backdrop for your outdoor event. Adjacent to the Raritan River and a waterfall, the terrace is a perfect, one of a kind spot for any gathering. The sculpture New Direction by Tom Otterness adds to the ambience, making your event a very special occasion. With approximately 5,000 square feet, the terrace provides space for dining, dancing, and more. The terrace may be rented separately or with the Museum.
Should you choose to rent the Museum only or along with the terrace, your guests will be surrounded by contemporary art in the distinctive ambience of the 19th-century stone mill. The Museum’s three floors provide uncommon spaces for your event.
The Museum and terrace are also ideal for meetings or smaller social events.
Please call the Museum at (908) 735 -8415 and speak with Ellen at extension 113 or email Ellen to discuss your event. Rates vary depending on desired space and weekend or weeknight use. Special rates are available for nonprofits and local small businesses.
Companies listed as preferred vendors are familiar with the Museum and provide excellent service. Event organizers, however, are welcome to use vendors of their choice with the exception of tent rental companies. Tents must be rented from the Museum’ preferred tent companies.
