The Hunterdon Art Museum’s fall poetry series resumes on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. with Peter Murphy and Christine Salvatore.

There will also be a brief open microphone where anyone is invited to share a poem before the featured readers. This event is free and open to everyone.

Peter Murphy is the author of Stubborn Child, a book of poems, and three chapbooks, Thorough & Efficient, the recently published Mr. Nobody and Atlantic City Lives forthcoming in 2015. His unique poetry writing assignments have been collected in Challenges for the Delusional: Peter Murphy’s Prompts and the Poems They Inspired. His own poems have been published in The Atlanta Review, The Green Mountains Review, The Journal, The Literary Review, Rattle, Witness and elsewhere.

Christine E. Salvatore received her MFA from The University of New Orleans.  She currently teaches literature and creative writing at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Egg Harbor Township High School, and in the MFA Program at Rosemont College. Her poetry has recently appeared or will appear in Mead, The Literary Review, The Cortland Review, Prime Number Magazine and in The Edison Literary Review, as well as others.  She is the recipient of a 2005 Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council of the Arts.
