Project Description

Beyond the Stick Figure: Anatomical Drawing with Oscar Peterson

Have you ever started to draw a person and found yourself asking questions, such as, “How do I draw an eye?” and “Why does this hair look like spaghetti?” In this new course artist and instructor, Oscar Peterson, will answer these questions and guide students through drawing specific areas of the body. Each class meeting will have a different anatomical focus, which will be broken down and simplified. With the use of plaster casts, photographs, self-observation, and step-by-step demonstrations, students will learn how to represent the most complex of drawing subjects – the human form.
