Embroidered Apparel for Kids

Embroidery is the art of stitching designs onto fabric. In this workshop students will learn the basics of embroidery and create their own unique patch that they can attach to an article of clothing or accessory of their choice.  Students will receive guidance in drafting a meaningful design for their patch that reflects their values and interests. Please review the materials list below for this workshop to make sure you have everything you need!

Materials:

  • 1 yd. of canvas fabric
  • 4 in. wooden embroidery hoop
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Various colors of embroidery thread
  • Embroidery needles
