Figure Drawing Intensive

Dive into figure drawing in this day-long online intensive in which you will work from a combination of photos and a live model. Learn how to realistically depict the human figure in a variety of poses, with a focus on proportion, composition, shading and value. This workshop is recommended for students with prior experience in figure drawing who are looking to improve their technique. Please see materials list below so you have what you need!

Materials:

  • Strathmore drawing pad (or equal), 14”x17” or larger
  • Newsprint pad, 14”x17” or larger
  • Toned charcoal paper (recommended: Canson Mi-Teintes #426, Moonstone)
  • Drawing board
  • Graphite pencils
  • Charcoal pencils and sticks
  • White charcoal or chalk
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Plastic (rubber) eraser
  • Mat knife
  • Sandpaper

Students will need access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone with a camera, microphone and internet access for using the Zoom meeting app.
