Introduction to Handbuilding: 2-Day Ceramic Workshop

This workshop is offered in partnership with Raritan Valley Community College.

Day one, students will be introduced to the basic technical skills and conceptual approaches of hand-built ceramics. Students will make their own objects through exploration of form and surface treatments, and their work will be fired by the instructors before the second meeting. Day two will be spent learning about glazes, and students will glaze their stoneware projects from day one.

Note: This workshop is held at the Raritan Valley Community College Ceramics Studio in Branchburg, NJ. Directions, tools, and all materials provided. Transportation not provided. Pre-registration is required.
