Project Description

Plein Air & Still Life Painting with Oscar Peterson

Please note: This class will be held virtually using Zoom. Click HERE to learn more about online learning with HAM and contact Joan Gavornik with any questions or concerns.

Artists have been working en plein air (outdoors) for hundreds of years. Students will continue in the style of this tradition using landscape photographs and learn the techniques to start, establish, and finish their paintings. Fundamental principles of capturing color, light, planes, and structure will be covered.  Still life subjects will be introduced to practice painting from observation.
