Project Description

Portraits Without Bodies: Exploring Alternative Portraiture with Rujuta Rao

Please note: This class will be held virtually using Zoom. Click HERE to learn more about online learning with HAM and contact Joan Gavornik with any questions or concerns.

In this workshop you will learn how to capture your subject in methods that go beyond figurative portrait techniques. Instead, imagery and inspiration will be drawn from the subject’s essence, qualities and belongings. Capture yourself and those who are meaningful to you in new ways. This workshop is perfect for someone who is looking to venture beyond the traditional portrait. The use of drawing, sculpture, photography, collage and other media will be encouraged and facilitated.
