Summer Camp After-Care
After-care is available for any camper attending 2017 Summer Camp at the Hunterdon Art Museum. After-care is directed by camp staff and volunteers. Supervised activities during after-care vary but may include free art time in ArtZone, board games, pleasure reading, and outdoor activities on our terrace (weather permitting). A daily snack will be provided.

Art from Around the World (ages 5–9, 10–15)

Art from Around the World
Join us on a journey hopping from continent to continent learning about different cultures of the world through art. We will explore artistic traditions with projects including drawing, printmaking, painting, and sculpture.  Projects will not repeat in weeks 1, 3, and 9, respectively.

This camp celebrates fun in the sun. Explore all kinds of creatures that glide, swim, or slither in the sea. Create two- and three-dimensional works of art based on the beauty of the ocean. Mix your own salt clay, make beach inspired jewelry, watercolor seascapes and more.

Turn beads, wire, chain, found objects and unexpected materials into beautiful handmade jewelry. Learn stringing, knotting, wrapping, crimping, and creative design techniques.

Lunch with the Bunch (2017)
We offer supervised lunchtime for summer campers, Monday through Friday. Lunch With the Bunch is directed by camp staff and volunteers; activities include games and/or walks to downtown Clinton, the Red Mill Museum and other nearby destinations, weather permitting. Please bring a nut-free bag lunch. 












Pet Portraits (ages 10-15, 11–15)

Pet Portraits
Find inspiration in your family pet (or a favorite animal).  Campers  will create a variety of animal portraits in pastel, watercolor and acrylic based on photos they bring to class.  By the end of the week, students will have improved their drawing and painting skills, and will come home with at least one matted and one framed pet portrait.

Photography Boot Camp (ages 11—15)

Photography Boot Camp
Through demonstration and hands on opportunities, students immerse themselves in the basics of using their digital camera and progress to an intermediate level during a concentrated learning experience. We will cover camera operation, shutter speed and aperture; resolution selection, using the in-camera light meter for better exposure compensation, white balance, tips on good composition and use of accessories.

River Life: Paint, Sculpt, Print (ages 8–10, 11–15)

River Life: Paint, Sculpt, Print
Nature art comes alive in this course inspired by our local river. Birds, fish, boats and plant life will provide the creative spark for projects in watercolor, acrylics, sculpture, printmaking and bookmaking.
