A sketchbook is an artist’s notebook, journal, place to practice, experiment, and explore.  Launch your creativity and refine your art skills with sketching from observation, memory, and imagination using a variety of media. The goal is to practice, improve, and have fun!

This mixed-media class is perfect for any young artist who likes to experiment with different materials. Use your imagination and have fun with drawing, painting, and sculpting.  Projects do not repeat in weeks 7 and 8, respectively.

Summer Camp After-Care
After-care is available for any camper attending 2017 Summer Camp at the Hunterdon Art Museum. After-care is directed by camp staff and volunteers. Supervised activities during after-care vary but may include free art time in ArtZone, board games, pleasure reading, and outdoor activities on our terrace (weather permitting). A daily snack will be provided.

Claymation Animation (ages 8–10)

Claymation Animation
Learn the basics or build your skills in 2D and 3D animation. Students will make short- or long-form videos using stop-motion animation, storyboarding, model construction, drawing and painting. Bring a digital camera, data cable and memory card.

Faces in Clay (ages 5–9)

Faces in Clay
Students will explore facial expressions of humans and animals through clay and paint. Tools will be used to sculpt realistic and imaginative details. Students will learn how to create and manipulate basic features as well as fine tune characteristics such as age, expression and texture.

Lunch with the Bunch (2017)
We offer supervised lunchtime for summer campers, Monday through Friday. Lunch With the Bunch is directed by camp staff and volunteers; activities include games and/or walks to downtown Clinton, the Red Mill Museum and other nearby destinations, weather permitting. Please bring a nut-free bag lunch.
