Reiki for Children Workshop

Join us for a special Reiki For Children Workshop with Reiki Master Marci Tanelli on Sunday, Dec. 15 at noon.
Reiki is an energy healing practice that supports overall balance by activating the relaxation response and helping the body balance itself from a very deep level. Kids’ brains are working extra hard these days thanks to jam-packed schedules and bright, busy screens. Quiet time is hard to come by!
This workshop, for ages 5 to 10 years old, encourages children to get in touch with subtle energy and learn simple methods of using Reiki to improve the energy fields of themselves and others. They will learn about Reiki through art and creative expression, mindful poses and a guided meditation.
Reiki can add to the quality of our lives in numerous ways including:
— Improving concentration
— Enhancing relaxation
— Promoting balance
— Promoting creativity
— Enhancing self-awareness and self-esteem
Activities in this workshop will include:
Mindful posing — helping kids focus on the present.
What’s in the Box exercise — teaching children how to notice and understand their feelings.
Mindful Jars — teaching children about breathing and explaining how it can help relax them.
Mandala coloring — helping kids to be present and focus on the here and now.
Mantra Rocks — A discussion of mantras and how by repeating something silently can help kids feel good, strong, and proud of who they are.
Guided meditation — closing your eyes and relaxing.
Tanelli has Level 1, Level 2 and Master certification.
The workshop costs $30.
